Iran's gasoline quality to reach `Euro 2005': official 2006/11/20

The quality of Iran's gas and gas oil is expected to reach `Euro 2004' and `Euro 2005' through increased gasoline production at its Bandar Abbas refinery, an Iranian official said Sunday night.
Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh made the remarks in the southern city during a signing ceremony for an agreement on implementation of a project to increase the gasoline production of Bandar Abbas refinery.
"Implementation of the project over a period of 36 months will increase the quality of gas oil and gasoline and add 4.8 million liters to the refinery's gasoline production per day," he said.
He added that the agreement pertains to a 5th project to expand the production capacities of the country's refineries.
Nematzadeh noted that Iranian engineering companies have carried out major production and refining operations in the oil and gas sector and hoped they would be able to implement their projects on schedule and further prove their capabilities.
Pointing to the Tabriz refinery development project in northwest Iran, the official said that the project will soon be finalized.
"The winner in the tender will be announced soon."
